Bank Of England Holds Base Rate Firm !
Meaning the Government's plan to slow down inflation seems to be taking effect.
Whilst lending rates are still higher than they were a year ago, lenders are keen to invite new borrowers into the market, with better fixed terms and incentives to encourage borrowers to step off the letting merry-go-round and promote themselves towards their own home ownership.
The latest industry predictions are that the number of First Time Buyers entering the market will increase substantially over the 2024-2025 period ,with constantly rising rents and lower fixed term mortgages a major factor in their decision making.
